There was an angel. Kay had never seen him before, but there he was, standing by the trees, looking around. It seemed stupid, but Kay didn’t expect to see an angel high up in the mountains. For some reason, he assumed they were all down in the cities—but of course, there were also humans up in forests and for sure, there were probably some souls to collect. The small group discussion had just finished when Kay had noticed the angel. He had always been very curious about what went on in their gorgeous heads; he couldn’t base it on Michael because that one seemed like the odd one out, and the only other of his kind that showed any emotion or said any word was that guy Nathaniel from the mall.
