The girls came screaming into her apartment that night at eight. Nigel had not been able to keep them away. Everyone was talking at once. So much to tell. For some of them, it was their first trip to France. Sissy, the architect’s girlfriend, had been offered her own Cartier contract. Already. She was a lovely girl. Lu was truly happy. She was sure Tom would not be so happy. Sissy was considering staying in Paris and being part of the crew there. Lu told her, “Do it!” It would be life changing.
