Chapter 15 - Medical attention part 3

Chapter 15

Jacob started walking with me and held me a  bit close to him. His warmth was appreciated. I started to get slower as the pain was making it hard to breathe. The cold was visible when I breathed in and the pain got worse. We were at least a 45 minute walk away from the hotel he mentioned. But then I started feeling dizzy, I felt him watching my facial expressions.

“Kiara are you okay? You are getting slower and you are starting to worry me. Is the pain that bad?” Asked Jacob.

I was on the verge of crying. But I pretended I was fine.

“I am fine. Please don’t worry about me.” I told him.

“Well I am here for you if you need me.” Jacob said.

I smiled but he just looked worried. I think he knew I was lying.

“Lean on me if you need to.” Jacob told me.

I just looked ahead and after about 5 minutes I remember bending forward in pain and screaming. Then everything went black.

I awoke in his arms and we were in a warm room, he was holding me like a bride being carried over a threshold. I looked around me and Jacob looked at me.

“It’s okay Kiara, just rest a bit okay. We are almost there. Liam has got a car to pick them up.” Jacob said.

“I can walk.” I said.

“Yeah sure you can, you just screamed and passed out.” Jacob laughed.

I gave him an annoyed look.

“Don’t try to give me attitude, you look like an adorable little child when you do.” Jacob joked.

“I hate you.” I told him.

“Yeah, well I would believe that if I didn’t feel your heart racing.” Jacob laughed.

“Anyway where are we?” I asked.

“We are waiting for Liam to get the room ready for you. They are adding some warmer bedding for you as I told him you were cold.” Jacob said.

“Okay, but can’t we wait in there?” I asked.

“No miss Kiara, you need to be patient.” Jacob said while laughing.

But as things couldn’t get worse, Anthony walked in and looked angry.

“What are you doing with Kiara?” He said aggressively.

“Stop, your dad knows. He is making the hospital comfortable for her. Kiara needs to see a doctor.” Jacob quickly explained.

“Wait it has nothing to do with him, he doesn’t need to know. And I am not happy with him knowing a damn thing about me.” I say to Jacob.

“I have a right to know when it involves my dad.” Said Anthony aggressively.

“Tony I saw her in pain and she ended up passing out.” Jacob said.

“Jacob stop or else I will just leave now without seeing a doctor. He doesn’t deserve to know s**t. He lost my trust as a friend.” I told Jacob.

“Sorry Tony but she does need to see a doctor so I can’t talk to you right now.” Jacob said.

Jacob turned around to walk to the other side of the room and Anthony raised his voice.

“I have every right Jacob and you know why. Now tell me.” Anthony demanded.

I was about to speak but then I heard a loud bang and high pitched squeak.

“BABY!” Said Rebecca as she ran to Anthony.

Half naked and her areola is sticking out of her singlet.

“Classy Anthony, I can see her areola.” I say with annoyance.

Anthony turned around and looked at Rebecca.

“Get back in the room.” He said aggressively.

“Baby ignore this trash and come back to bed.” She said trying to sound seductive.

“She sounds like nails on a chalkboard with a megaphone on repeat.” I whisper to Jacob.

“Agreed.” Jacob whispers back while trying to not laugh.

His grip on me tightens and I lean my head on him as he holds me. 

“Are you okay?” Jacob whispers.

“I am, just really tired and sore.” I whispered.

Jacob grabbed me tighter and adjusted his hands towards my butt to adjust my position as I was slowly slipping. I sunk into his warmth and relaxed more. I didn’t care he had his hand on my butt to support me. He made me feel oddly safe. But when Anthony noticed, he got extremely mad.
