Five The smell of disinfectant was noticeable the moment I stepped into the clinic and a soft meow greeted me from the front desk. A grey house sphinx tipped her head to the side, curious to what I was doing. “Hey, Hatty. What are you doing here?” I waved my fingers at her, bemused at how she was sitting so neatly in the seat. “Are you the new receptionist?” “Prrr?” “Stay still.” I pulled my phone out to snap a quick picture of the clinic pet. “Nice.
