I've never, in my entire life, felt as terrified as at this moment. When Eve lost consciousness and fell into my arms, I could feel my heart almost exploding. The pain, the torment, the anger mixed together inside and my body started to tremble. I sat on the ground and rocked her in my arms.
“Eve? Please wake up, please open your eyes.” I murmured, touching her face and checking if she was breathing.
She can't die. The Moon Goddess wouldn't give me my mate just to take her away from me.
But what if it’s my fault? Because of all the times I said that I didn't want a mate?
I growled, holding her tighter to my chest.
