I could see the smile beaming from Asher's face... he was so happy. I had never seen him smile like that, not since I've known him, and that's been a long time. He was truly happy with Abigail.
His plan had worked.
I had never imagined it could. Fighting a war against the wolf hunters head-on had always seemed like a death sentence. But Asher, he had crafted a brilliant plan, something no one dared to consider possible.
