Let The Games Begin

I felt exhausted and sore. A sudden flash of chills ran over my body and I curled further under the spread. Noise from the others I was sharing a room with drowned out the television sounds. Turns out the rooms were booked from last summer and roommates were chosen at random. Matt was in a room with people he knew a floor lower than mine. And I was in a room with people I have never met. Someone harshly walked into my exposed leg, pulling it further off the bed. I grumped and pulled the spread over my body, waiting for all of them to leave so I could have the washroom for myself. "You're Jesse's girl friend right?" I pretended I never heard, but the person began to tap on my shoulder. Did these people never learn that it's rude to disturb someone while they were sleeping? I pulled the sheet from my head and blinked rapidly at the sudden jolt of light. "Why?" I muttered sleepily. "No reason. Just saw you wearing his jersey in last night." She smiled. She had slick black hair that was pulled in a tight ponytail. She looked to be Japanese, but it was hard to tell underneath all that make up. "Okay" I hissed. "Do you want to head down for breakfast together?" she wondered. "I'm okay, thanks" I pulled the covers back over my head. Minutes later, I felt someone climb into bed with me. Either these people were way too friendly, or someone thought I was someone else. I was about to get up when he whispered in my ear. "Good morning, sleeping beauty." I turned in his arms and pulled myself closer to him. He was fully clothes in jeans and a t-shirt. His hair was still damp from his shower and his cologne consumed me in the confined space under the blanket. I crawled on top of him, not caring who was still in the room; I only saw him. I pressed my lips to his longingly, gripping his hair as our bodies sunk into each other's. I haven't seen him since he handed me his jersey before I got on the bus and insisted I wore it immediately. I heard a few whistles fly around the room when Jesse began to fondle my behind, gripping it possessively. I turned around quickly, sudden shyness engulfing my body. It was like the whole soccer team was in the room, sitting on every surface with their eyes in our direction. I tried to hop off Jesse's lap but he tightened his grip around me. "Wait for me outside" he told his teammates. When they finally left after a few groans, I pushed against his chest. "Why didn't you say something?" "And deny myself this wonderful morning greeting?" He captured my lips deeply, brushing his tongue against mine seductively. I moaned into his mouth, instinctively grinding my hips on him. He groaned as he positioned himself, lightly thrusting his hips up to meet my rhythm. "Will you sleep with me tonight?" He asked. "In your room full of boys? No thank you" I shook my head, closing my eyes as his lips grazed my neck, down my shoulders. "There's a tradition. Different from a shared room, we rent an empty one where we all rotate sleeping in it." "You mean a room where people take turns having s*x in. That's much better" I said sarcastically. "They change the sheets every night." He chuckled as he grasped my chin. "I want to be with you tonight" he sighed His eyes burned into mine and I found myself weak and feeble. He had me and I couldn't say no, I didn't want to. I nodded finally, earning a small peck. A loud knock sounded through the room, pulling us apart. "Should we head to practise without you?" Someone asked loudly, tired of waiting. "Go" I kissed him, handing him his gym bag on the floor. He sighed "I will see you tonight" he promised, taking his leave. When everyone was gone, I finally got to use to bathroom. I took my time getting ready, wearing shorts with Jesse's jersey. The minute I got downstairs, it was like a spotlight followed me around as I walked. I held my head down, not sure what to do. I grabbed a few things from the buffet before sitting alone on a bench. as I began to wonder where Matt was, I glimpsed him in the corner of my eye. He had David's tongue down his throat and his fingers were wrapped in David's hair. I stared, fascinated at the scene in front of me. A sudden jolt of pressure shot through the back of my head, causing me to choke on my orange juice. "Take off the f*****g jersey" she spat. I held the back of my head as I turned to look at Nichole and her friends. She glared down at me. My eyes ran on her clothes, the signed jersey from last year still hung on her torso with Jesse's number. "Did you just hit me?" I muttered in disbelief. My parents have never placed their hands on me, nor has anyone. I was raised to believe that violence was never the answer. "Take off that f*****g jersey or I'll do it again." She threatened. Threats? Was she really threatening to hit me again? "If you touch me one more time, I'll make sure to have you arrested." "Arrested? You have got to be kidding me" "Do it and let's find out." I challenged. "This is my man's jersey and he demanded I wear it. I suggest you take off yours. it's a tad embarrassing and desperate" "I have no idea what he's been telling you to fill that small brain of yours, but let's get something straight. He is and always will be mine. You might be borrowing him now, but he will come home." "I wouldn't suggest you hold your breath... on second thought, maybe you should." She smile coldly. "How long do you think someone like you can hold him for? He can get anyone he wants. Remember that." I rolled my eyes in irritation because I knew it to be true. Jesse could get anyone at the snap of his fingers. So why was he wasting his time with me? "That innocence act wouldn't last for long. Hell, it's already fading." "That was interesting. How about you leave now." Matt smiled sweetly. She rolled her eyes dramatically as she stormed off. Matt sat down beside me before he slowly began to clap. "Stop" I said when he didn't "You deserve it. You held your own, Bambi." "Barely" "You escaped the viper without being killed. That's a miracle" I rubbed the back of my head as I sat there, my appetite gone. When it was time to start putting everything together, I opted for working on the field so I could watch Jesse train. He was shirtless among a few others as he completed his drills, helping his team through a few. He demonstrated tricks and techniques as he went, laughing and joking around. During their laps, he finally glimpsed me in the group of people. I was trying so hard to not to be spotted. He called me over to the fence a few feet away but I refused, my irritation from this morning still high. He called me over once more, worry across his brows but I still shook my head, my fingers playing with the hem of his jersey. I was taken by surprise when he hopped over the four foot fence and jogged over to me. His coach slammed his clipboard to the ground in frustration, clearly mad he was acting reckless so close to game day. "Come here" he mumbled when I pulled away, grasping me against his wet body squeezing tight. I heard a few responses behind me as we embraced, a few people not happy. "Your coach is about to have a heart attack" I muttered when he pulled away. "What's wrong?" he ignored, his attention on me "I got hit for wearing your jersey." I decided to be honest considering I was still pissed. "She put her hands on you?" He asked in disbelief. I nodded. I paused before I spoke again. "Why are you with me?" I whispered barely audible. "Jesse!" His teammates began to shout angrily. "One minute" he shouted back. I peeled my body away from his. "It's okay. Go" "What if I want to stay?" He kissed me softly, caressing my cheek as he consumed my lips with his. "Jesse!" They roared. "I already have enough people hating me" I sighed as I pulled away unwillingly. "Jesse!" They continued "Fucking..." he cussed, getting annoyed. I giggled at his frustration, patting him on the butt playfully as I pushed him towards them. He dragged his feet exaggeratively, making it clear he didn't want to go. He was about to jump the fence again before his coach started to yell incoherent words. Jesse laughed, deciding to jog the long way around. I turned away from the field before they could turn back to me. I began to help out whole-heartily so I could finish and leave the stadium. I waved bye to Jesse when I was on my way out. He waved back then called someone over; the guy looked to be one of the person I was sharing my room with. I took my time as I made my way to the hall for lunch. A large guy carrying enough food to feed the whole team bumped into me, pushing me to the side. "Sorry. I'm a bit late" he apologized as he offered me a hand. "Jenkins" someone roared. He was from the opposite team, sweat dripping from his face. "Let's go" The guy in front of me scurried out of the room, following the soccer player out. I joined Matt and David for lunch, sitting beside them. "What happened to that girl" I whispered to him. "She got boring" he said as if it was obvious "and a bit self involved" he rolled his eyes. I giggled as I glanced over at David. "And he just took you back like that?" "No, he made me work for it" he winked. Guess David knew Matt better than I thought. We finished up lunch and I headed to my room to freshen up after a long day. When I entered into the room, I walked passed a crowd of girls around my bed. An enormous bouquet of flowers rested on the bed between them. "Nice flowers" I muttered to the girl who woke me this morning. "They're yours" someone else smiled. "Really?" My day suddenly felt better, my smile going from ear to ear. I parted the crowd as I took the flowers into my hand, barely able to hold them. I placed them to my nose happily as I sniffed. I opened the card. You've been having a rough day but tonight I will make it up to you. And answer your question. These are beautiful, but not as beautiful as you baby. Jesse I smiled, placing the flowers to my nose again. I was suddenly giddy for what's to come.
