Unfortunately for me I still had to be cuffed when we were going out of that cell since it wasn’t just for my protection but for everyone else’s as well. I thought that it was dumb since these people should know how to fight someone like me, especially when they were fighting the Elite. When walking through the facility I decided to take this perfect opportunity to take a look at my surroundings. It was quite interesting because as I walked through the corridors people stared, some with interest and some with absolute hate which made me laugh since these people had no idea what I did and was going to do before this. One particular room took my interest, it was a lab, the window let me see straight in where I then saw a face that I wasn’t expecting to see.  It was the man from the c***k in the wall, I knew his grey eyes and he seemed to know my green ones as he stopped dead. He rubs his eyes and looks back at me as I walk past the window. He looked good, those black greasy locks were gone and turned into a medium length swept-back hairstyle, which made him look rather hot. I try to look back at Graycen but because of the stupid cuffs I couldn’t fully turn, but I made it work. “ Who was that?” I question, smiling. “ His name is James, he’s our doctor and weaponry engineer. He’s the guy who created those lovely cuffs you’re wearing,” He replies, tapping my wrists with his fingers. “ I can actually feel your smugness and I’m not even looking at you,” I say, still walking in front. “Yes, well it’s something to be proud of after creating this advanced tech in such a small amount of time.” “Yay, you successfully managed to make a set of cuffs. I’m so proud,” I say, rolling my eyes. “ Yeah. I bet you are,” He whispers into my ear, I jump slightly and look over my shoulder to see him struggling to hold in his laughter. “Har har, very funny,” I mock, turning my head back around. “ Yes, I thought so too,” He replies, “ Oh look, here we are.” We walked through a door which led to a meeting room where a group of people stood looking at one giant board, which had case files to do with the Elite. Graycen coughs, grabbing their attention away from the board. I immediately noticed two of them, it was Nat and Gabriel. Nat looked guilty as hell, her eyes couldn’t meet mine at all but Gabriel was the polar opposite, he looked directly into my eyes with no expression at all. I turned my attention to Gryacen who’d let go of my cuffs and pulled a chair for me to sit at the large table, which I obliged to straight away, my legs were killing me. “ As you all know this is Amelia, aka Mercy. She is here to help us with planning our infiltration of the main Elite base, you are all to treat her with respect and be grateful that she is willing to help. If you aren’t able to perform either of these expectations, you can leave right now.” Graycen points at the open door when he spoke the last part, I noticed that everyone in front of me was unsure and hesitant when looking at me. I understood why I would be too since I was working for this terrorist organisation a few days ago, I wouldn’t trust me either. Despite Graycen’s quite powerful and clear speech, everyone decided to stay. I didn’t speak to anyone other than Graycen when we were talking since at the moment he was the only one I trusted. I wanted to trust Nat again but I found that I couldn’t, it felt like she was a stranger again. I found it difficult to tell them where the bases were since whenever I had to leave or be transported to another destination I’d be drugged up to cloud nine. But, I managed to tell them where I’d meet the agents before going back to the bases, which was helpful since it gave them a rough idea of where some of the small bases were. It was the closest they’d gotten in a while, Gryacen told me about how it had taken months and months to figure out that those vials were being dealt. After the meeting, I was again taken to another room where it was more concealed and private, there’s one glass panel but the other three walls were solid concrete, which I’m thankful for. The bed was suitable, it was a nice double bed where it had no bed sheets or covers, I didn’t care for the pleasures of pretty patterned blankets and covers since I knew I didn’t deserve them. A bathroom was connected to the room which was nice and the room also had a small wardrobe where the clothes that were for me to wear were kept. It was way better than the cube of glass that stood smashed somewhere in this huge place. “And there we go,” Graycen says, taking off the cuffs, he’d made sure to escort me to my room which was weird because it seemed to me that he was the boss of this whole place. I decided to shrug it off and sit on the bed, where I fidgeted with my fingers awkwardly. Graycen turned to leave but turned back around, looking at me in confusion. “ Take a picture it’ll last longer,” I say half-heartedly, I had no energy to fight or even escape since I knew I wouldn’t have anywhere or anyone to go to. The thought of being alone again seemed to cause me to have nervous butterflies in my stomach, which was extremely out of the ordinary since for years I’d been in my own company. I had only been with people around me for a few days, and even then I slept on my own without anyone there. It was confusing, very confusing indeed. Graycen ignored my comment and took a step closer to me with a soft expression, “ If you need someone to talk to at any time, I’m here to listen. Even if it’s early in the morning, if you ask one of your guards outside to get me, I’ll be there within seconds. Alright?” I was shocked, no one had ever said anything remotely kind to me before, and it wasn’t to get something out of it like most of the people in my life. I smiled at him and nodded. This earned me a bright and genuine smile back, as he turned back around and closed the door behind him. This wasn’t as bad as I thought.
