I was in my third class when a shadow fell over my desk. I looked up to find a familiar face standing there and for the first time today, a genuine smile curved my lips.
I smiled at Mark, my only friend in this hell hole. At least, for me, he was. “Hey,” I greeted.
“Hi,” Mark said, flashing me a warm grin as he handed me a folder. “Here are your notes. I sorted them according to the topics you mentioned.”
