Instead of taking the car back to the pack, Ezra decided to fly. As soon as the helicopter touched down Ezra opened the door and helped me out. His jaw was tight, his gold eyes were dark with anger as he led me toward the car that was waiting for us. Norton was in the driver’s seat.
“This is very f****d up!” Ezra growled as he helped me in the car.
“It’s something I never expected,” Norton replied. “I know this isn’t over, Alpha Ezra.”
Ezra let out a deep, rough exhale, his shoulders bunching in tension. I touched his arm and he visibly relaxed. He took my hand in his and kissed it. “Is there any CC TV footage?”
“None,” Norton replied as we headed toward Mandy’s house on the edge of the pack. “It seems that someone had tampered with it a few days ago.”
