Ethan was the last of the triplets to close his eyes after valiantly fighting drowsiness for the last two minutes to hear the end of the bedtime story. Lucas drew the covers over the three of them, straightening to look at them with a small smile his face. They beamed as they snored, happy and content. It wasn't like this yesterday and he knew the reason why. Lucas closed the door noiselessly behind him, wondering if having Sophia in their lives was a good thing. She wasn't going to stay permanent in their lives, they would be torn when she leaves them. Lucas heart ached, to have his kids dealing with detaching themselves emotionally from her.
