The school wanted to wrap up everything as today was the last day of the hangout. They would wrap it up early and allow the parents and child the rest of the day to spend some more time, have some fun till they need were sated and by tomorrow, everyone would leave.
Kids usually have their parents a hard time when it was time to leave.
