I sat beside him the whole night as they stitched him up. Algae brought a very shady doctor to handle the situation and also gave his blood for their treatment.
“How long before he wakes?” I asked the doctor as he checked his pulse.
“How long?” He burst into a weird laugh that gave me the creeps. I noticed he had the habit of sniffling every few seconds like there was something obstructing his airway.
“Err… well they all had the Alpha venom in their blood for quite a while. And beta’s blood isn't really a fix, it's just the connection between the Alpha and the beta that makes the blood work,”
“So you are saying it will take time?”
