27The plan for the colonel was already mapped out. All they had to do was break in, kill the son of a b***h, and make sure the cameras caught a good enough look at Charlie's face. A Reacher killing an ex–Institute soldier would be covered up before Colonel Moore's body had time to get cold, but the authorities would know what happened and they'd never link it to Riva Morris. Charlie would make sure they got a new mug shot – especially now he was looking better – and by the time the cops circulated it he'd be already crossing the border on his way to collect their fee.
