Hazel arrived at the coffee shop early, nervously fidgeting with her phone as she waited for Jordan to arrive. She had spent hours getting ready, trying on different outfits and doing her hair and makeup just right.
When Jordan walked in, Hazel's heart skipped a beat. He looked even more handsome than she remembered, with his messy brown hair and piercing blue eyes.
"Hey," he said, smiling as he slid into the chair across from her. "You look amazing."
Hazel blushed, feeling a little self-conscious. "Thanks," she said. "You don't look so bad yourself."
They spent the next hour chatting and laughing together, getting to know each other better. Hazel learned that Jordan was a music major at a local college, and that he had been playing guitar since he was a teenager.
As they talked, Hazel found herself feeling more and more at ease. Jordan was easy to talk to, and she loved the way he made her laugh.
As the afternoon wore on, Jordan glanced at his watch and frowned. "I'm so sorry, but I have to go soon," he said. "I have a band practice tonight."
Hazel nodded, feeling a little disappointed. "It's okay," she said. "I should probably get going too."
Jordan smiled and reached across the table, taking her hand in his. "I had a great time today," he said. "Would you like to do it again sometime soon?"
Hazel's heart skipped a beat as she felt a spark of electricity run through her body. "Definitely," she said, smiling up at him.
As they said their goodbyes and Jordan walked her out of the coffee shop, Hazel couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. She had a feeling that this was just the beginning of something special.
