~TIANA’S [POV]~ I was in no mood to eat downstairs with everyone else that evening. Thankfully, Demetri understood and didn’t try to force me after he sent a maid to fetch me. I hadn’t outright refused....I simply told her to let him know I was running a fever and couldn’t come down. So my food was brought upstairs, and I ate alone in the quiet of my room. Even after I finished, I couldn’t bring myself to relax. Not even the softness of the mattress could coax the tension from my body.
