~TIANA'S [POV]~
When I peeked my head out again, I was met with Demetri's gaze. I froze, my heart nearly did a double jump out of my throat.
"What are you sneaking around for?" he called, motioning me over. "Come here."

Letting out a small sigh, I stepped out from behind the tree and slowly made my way toward him.
Before I could reach where they were standing, the man on his knees suddenly sprang to his feet and bolted.
He took off as fast as he could, stumbling over the uneven ground as he desperately tried to escape.
Demetri didn't make a move, as he simply stood there, watching him run.
The next thing I knew, his hand reached for the gun tucked into the back of his waistband.
