# 2. Chapter Two***

Jasmine went to her father's study after a long hot bath.

"Dada may I come in?" She asked from outside.

"Yes dear" her father replied

" You said you wanted to have an IMPORTANT MEETING with me remember?" She said stressing out the ' important meeting'

"Oh yeah I remember, hold on" her father said walking to a book shelf and brought out a piece of paper and handed the paper to her

"I want you to sign this paper dear "

She took the paper and read whatever was in it but as she read her eyes grew wide open.

"A marriage with The Andersons ? Marriage? Dad what's this? " She was confused about what she saw.

"Yes dear, their third son will arrive the country soon and our families are very good friends " he said smiling genuinely like Jasmine was willing to hear.

" What's all these? Are you trying to upgrade your level of controlling me now? " She stood up angrily and asked.

"You should be grateful that they chose you and besides why wouldn't they choose my very intelligent daughter? " Sir Elrad said giggling from ear to ear.

"I'm not interested Sir Elrad" she spat out

"Excuse me? Jas they are aware that you're a mother of four kids yet they still chose you , can you please think?" Sir Elrad refuted almost immediately.

" I have thought about it and I'm not ready for any sort of drama please excuse me" she said and walked out.

If she didn't know that he was her biological father, she would have thought he was trying to sell her.

"Jasmine dear, I know you're not willing to give your heart to anyone especially with everything that happened but at least think about my grandkids darling" her mother entered her room and said.

"Mom , I thought I told you that I don't want to involve myself in any relationship let alone marriage? Go and tell you husband to deny that marriage or he should go ahead and adopt a child that will be fine with living with a guy she knows nothing about"

" Jas although it's a marriage you don't really know your partner but I'm sure with time spent on knowing each other you'll make a perfect couple besides there are many options for a way out"

"Mom leave my room thank you"

"Are you chasing your mother out? " Chelle Elrad blinked

"No , I need space please" Jasmine said opening the door

"So I am now matter that occupies space right?" Chelle Elrad said puffing her cheeks

" Mom!!!" Jasmine's shout made her realize how serious she was. She quickly left the room not without saying

"Whatever decision you make, always remember those kids irrespective of their intelligence and strong will, they still need a father figure in their lives , at least the boys may understand but what about Carissa who sees the relationship you have with your father ? Please dear think about Risley's condition"
