At the Chora Police Station the combined teams from Naxos and Athens, in total seven men, met at nine in the morning for briefing. It was to be a busy day. A warrant had been granted with unusual promptitude for a search of the premises of Petros Tsifas. They were looking for two things: valuable ancient artefacts, and anything that might have a bearing on the recent murders, particularly a knife that might be the murder weapon.
Inspector Cristopoulos was planning to question the owners of the Taverna Ta Votsala, Vasilios and Maroula Papathoma.
