When Aristos left to return to the museum, having insisted on paying for their lunch, Day decided to call Nomikos. First he needed to call Helen and tell her that he was going straight to the Elias house for the afternoon. While they were on the phone, he told her of Aristos’s invitation to Rania’s birthday celebration, and that he had some news of Alex. Thus having aroused her curiosity and left it dangling in the air, he rang off.
