28 Inspector Andreas Nomikos had found himself a private office to indulge in an hour of reflection. The station was practically empty: the search of the Elias house was in progress and Cristopoulos was conducting interviews at Taverna Ta Votsala. Nomikos had taken the precaution before starting work of standing at the counter of a nearby café to fortify himself with a Greek coffee, just how he liked it, medium sweet.
