ARIA'S POV
“Call me mother.“ Aria remembered Luna Cecilia telling her. “I'm going to make you my daughter. I have no child of my own.“
Aria remembered feeling out of sorts with that order. Luna Cecilia had a son. Kane. He was set to become the next Alpha.
“Luna Cecilia, you have a son.“ I had told her, and her eyes darkened.
“Kane might be my biological son, but he is no son of mine. He's going to grow up to take after his father. I want nothing to do with him.“
I had been too young to know what she was talking about, but I had never been too comfortable to take on another person's position. Most importantly, I never wanted to take over for anyone. I wanted to find my own people. So one day I asked her where I came from, and she had no answer for me.
