Maria had witnessed Alpha Kane's death in the hands of Alpha Lucas. She had been in awe of the way he had handled the mad Alpha. She had been greatly impressed. She knew Lucas was capable of violence, but she had never experienced it for herself firsthand. Unfortunately, that hadn't deterred her from pursuing him, it only made her want him more.
