I had just begun to fall asleep on his chest when he asked me that question. Irritation welled up in my chest, and I automatically felt the link between us shut down. Why wouldn't he stop bringing it up?
It was even more ridiculous that he thought I still had feelings for Kane of all people. Yes, Kane had been the object of my affections for most of my life, but I was long past that. I had found out that what I thought was love wasn't it at all. It was only because I had never seen someone else to put my feelings on.
