I have this not-yet-explored fascination with garden magazines. Every time I see one and have the cash on hand, I pick it up. I’m such a sucker for those images of great planters and perfect levels of colorful flowers that I have to limit myself to cash-only purchases lest I spend my mortgage money on magazines that I don’t have any time to read. So why I thought I’d start not one but two gardens while also running my own bookstore, I don’t know. But I did . . . and I was loving it.
