Chapter 2

Isandras POV

I quickly got myself off the floor, standing up straight now I could clearly see who I had bumped into

I froze, mortified and unable to blink at the sight of the person standing before me and what had just happened

It was Alpha Leo

The Alpha of the Red Moon pack, the second largest pack in the lands

“Well, well, well, what do we have here?”

Came the deep, rumbling voice that sent chills down my spine as I heard them

I was still fixed in place

I couldn't give him an answer

What was I supposed to answer to that? To him?

He moved closer to me, leaving only a small space between us.

He moved his hands to my chin and held it with his thumb and index finger while his piercing eyes grazed me from your to down and back up, the same look the guard had been giving me like he wanted to rip my clothes off, which he,, unfortunately, ended up doing

That was when it occurred to me that my shirt had been ripped off

Blood rushed like tap water to my face, I was barechested, except for my bra, standing in the form of a powerful alpha

Like that alone wasn't already bad enough

Our servants in the Palace had been preparing for and anticipating his arrival for weeks, making sure everything was perfect and in place to ensure the peace treaty meeting he was here for went smoothly.

And, of course, it had to be the day I was frantically running away from being harassed. Probably to my death seeing as it was a wolf, just the kind of luck I had.

Looking at me as if he was seeing into my soul, Alpha Leo surprisingly seemed to be more amused than anything else by the current situation we had found ourselves in.

The left side of his lip was curled up like he was holding back an amused smile.

*Tump tump tump*

The sound of my heart in my ears still persisted

I, on the other hand, was mortified

"How did I end up here" I wondered

“Looks like I have a new addition to my collection” came his deep voice

Collection?

No

It wasn't possible

He couldn't mean...

Except a part of me, a part I really hoped was wrong knew he could actually mean.. that

Great, more forced intimacy

At the moment I now have a hard time deciding whether I'd be better off with the man I was running away from than the one standing in front of me

Both wolves, both out for the same thing, both deathly terrifying and not exactly giving me any choice in the matter.

Speak of the devil,

Just as the thought of the guard came to my mind someone appeared, coming out from the side of the wall holding his chest like he was catching his breath and panting like a dog

It was the guard

Clearly, he had managed to follow me all the way from the room, which was actually no surprise considering they had a heightened sense of smell for tracking and humans released a very noticeable smell, or so I had heard, he had sniffed me out after loosing me

“Hey you get back…”

He started to speak just before he sharply cut himself off upon coming face-to-face with Alpha Leo

It was as if I could literally see the blood drain from his face as the reality of what he had just done settled on him

“Uhm.. duh…I.. “

He mumbled, trying and failing to get anything intelligent out of his mouth, probably terrified, as he should be, of what Alpha Leo might do to him or even worse, the trouble he'd get in if it was heard that had even remotely disturbed the palace guest

Alpha Leo barely paid him any regard

Never taking his eyes, dark and simmering, of me

He snapped his fingers and gave out an order my muffled brain couldn't manage to make out,

Though it sounded something along the lines of "put her with the others"

Before even processing anything, I felt a hand on my back, a nudge and then a push forward

"Oh I was supposed to move" I thought as realization came to me

I was put in the back with a bunch of other wolves who looked like the only business they had with me was tearing me to shreds

Great, one human servant among these wolves, what could possibly be scarier

“I don't want to hear even a peep out of you” Alpha Leo said before he turned to continue in the direction he was headed,

Where they were all headed

Still reeling from one of the scariest things that had almost happened to me, the image of the man pushing me down to the floor flashing through my mind, I slouched my shoulders as far down as they'd go

Hiding, as I always did, so no one would notice my presence any more than they already had.

We kept walking down hallways, making turns, led by someone who most likely was a part of Alpha Aleck's pack warriors.

We stopped walking when we reached two golden 10 feet tall marble doors

As the warrior opened the doors, giving way to a grand Hall with a large round corner table in the centre, it took everything in me to keep my Jaws closed.

I had never been here before, only older servants were allowed to clean the main halls

Walking into the main throne room with Alpha Aleck, alpha of the crescent pack, sitting at the head of the table was both frightening and thrilling

For one, servants like me weren't allowed in here and two well the wolves, so many powerful and strong wolves in one place

I dared to look directly at Alpha Aleck, though he was looking solely at Alpha Leo, which was probably what gave me the confidence to stare

His expression gave away nothing of whatever it was he was thinking

Alpha Leo, walking briskly like the royal he was, made his way to the opposite end of the table and took a seat without waiting for anyone to tell him to,

While the rest of us, trailing him from behind, walked where he walked and stopped where he stopped, me being as far back as I could possibly without sticking out from the crowd

“Welcome” was all alpha Aleck offered him with his deep, baritone voice.

The treaty meeting proceeded and while the alphas were discussing who knows what, I was much too terrified to hear or understand a word they were saying,

My nose is now itching, probably from nerves

I don't want to move

But I need to move to scratch it

Maybe if I wiggle it

Achoo!

A very loud and high-pitched sneeze escaped my wretched nostrils before I knew it or could even get a hold of myself

And of course. Immediately the hall went silent as all eyes turned to see where the sneeze had come from

I've done it now

Today just keeps getting worse for me

All eyes in the room were now in my direction as they sought out where that God-forsaken sneeze had come from.

And of course, they found me

Alpha alecks eyes pierced through me with no emotion on his stone face

“Come” was all I heard from him
