Chapter 15“So,” Joseph said. He opened the back seat of his car for Taggart to put inside his backpack and duffle bag. “Have you told him yet?”
Taggart grabbed the edge of the door with a loud sigh. He wanted to play dumb to Joseph’s question, especially as Joseph used his looming height to his advantage at that moment. He raised his brows as Taggart met his gaze. Taggart opened and closed his mouth several times before he gestured back to the front door of their shared townhouse. “I think I forgot something.”
“Okay, cool. We got time. I wanted to get you breakfast before your big adventure anyway.”
“I’m not too hungry.”
“Then breakfast to go.” Joseph closed the car door and gestured back to the house. Taggart sighed again as they walked to the door, opened it, and took off their shoes
