Chapter 24While Rory went to clear off his desk and set up the burgers from the bar, Taggart took off his shoes right away. They ate quickly, though most of their focus was on the cat. “I’ve been calling her Ice Queen, sort of,” Taggart said. “But that was mostly because she had no name or tag at the shelter but was well looked after so I thought she had owners, and therefore a proper name. No one’s claimed her, though, and now she needs a better name and permanent home. I’d keep her, but she was making Joseph’s life hell for a while.
