Br’er parked his car and got out. He shouldered his backpack, locked the car, and entered the hotel. He walked across the posh lobby to the elevators. He checked the information Marcella had forwarded to him. When the elevator arrived he got in and pressed twelve. The bell rang as the elevator stopped and the doors opened. He walked to the door of the room Marcella had given him. He rapped lightly. The door opened and Br’er’s heart stopped. “R-Randy!” he said in surprise.
