“You want to speak to me ,wolf king?” I asked upon stepping inside his bed chamber ,my eyes laid on him who was flipping over pages of a book.
I lowered my gaze as he placed the book on the cushion staring directly into my eyes.
He cleared his throat and my heart skipped a beat as an uneasy feeling filled me with beads recoiling my hair at the neck of my back which stood on edge.
‘Yes I want to invite Isabella to my pack “ Alpha Benny declared and my heartbeat quickened.
“What ?Are you two …” Before I could finish my sentence he cut me off.
“Easy wolf nothing happened “ he uttered and I stayed in my position locking his eyes with mine.
“But my king, she is just a slave and a killer, why would you want her in your tribe “ I asked, raising my eyebrows at him
“Well I believe there's more to her potential than meets the eye” his gaze didn't waver from my face as he looked at me sternly.
“Well my king she is your slave then” I replied with a sigh shaking my head.
“That's a deal you will let her go if she wants to and I respect her wishes” he said with his intense gaze on me.
“ Yes I will, If there's nothing else I will take my leave” I turned towards the exit making my way straight for the door slamming it right behind me.
“Can you believe this king, I mean bending to Isabella's wishes” I exhaled with his words ringing in my ears.
My eyes darted to Eliana who sat on the cushion, her eyes flying open as she heard me.
“I mean what is this? Is he in love with her now “ my heart thudded pacing back and forth in the room with worry.
My stomach twisted, unable to accept that Isabella was going to leave my pack.
“Cassian this is good for us just think about it,The king takes his servant he leaves and we have leverage for negotiations “ she said with a devilish smile on her face glancing at me.
“ How is this a good thing?” I queried her and she stood up looking then and on at me.
“Everyone wins Oh my sweet alpha the pain that you are feeling it's just physical the attachment you have for her it's your nature, it's not love and if you let her go it will be easier trust me “ she murmured her lips brushing my neck showering me with kisses igniting sparks through me.
“You felt like dying for Benny, do you ever regret letting Benny go?” I asked her letting out a deep breath with my sharp eyes turning to her.
“It's our nature Cassian I let him go and I'm with you now and I'm not thinking about him I don't care what happens to him” she whispered smiling lightly.
“ Let Isabella go so that we can focus on our next target” she said, her eyes sparkling.
“But she belongs to me why would I let her go she's my slave I want her here so I could torture her and make her suffer for what she did to Casper” I spoke in displeasure and she smirked.
“She's a servant not good for anything she's only good for keeping king Benny distracted while we do our plan “ her hands found mine and she gave it a squeeze reassuring me with a dangerous smile settling on her face.
