Chapter Eight: When Allegiance Turns Deadly

“Are you sure about this ? Alpha Cassian clenched his fists, his eyes blazing with anger with his baritone voice cracking in disbelief thundering in the room.

“ Yes I am “ Eliana replied as Cassian paced back and forth in the room cursing under his breath.

“ She killed Casper you have to get rid of her and she doesn't deserve to be your Luna” Eliana muttered her voice cold which felt like ice.

“Know your place Eliana she's been punished and she will be mine until I say otherwise “he growled in a rough voice.

“Oh baby we are really good together as soon as you get rid of her ,my dad comes down and unites us and we no longer need the pathetic king Benny anymore “ She whispered her hands sliding down .

“I like the sound of that but I will think about it”he swallowed hard, trying to think clearly, removing her tiny hands from his chest.

“ But Isabella can't stoop so low to that “ Cassian said, letting out an air of disbelief.

“ Have I ever lied to you? You have known me for years, stop doubting me” she snarled at him, her voice firm rolling his eyes at him.

“That w***e Isabella really tried to seduce Alpha Benny ?” Cassian snapped gritting his teeth facing Eliana who held a glass of champagne in her hand leaning against the wall.

His blood ran cold ,his face warped in disgust crossing his arms as he swallowed Eliana words.

“ Why on earth will she seduce the wolf king and this could ruin us forever “ His eyes darkened, his jaw tightening facing Eliana.

Cassian was looking forward to partnering with the most wealthy alphas and one act from Isabella could damage his pack making them go into extinction.

“What did you expect, Cassian ? He's the king and she is an ambitious b***h !“ Eliana replied, her eyes narrowing as she looked at him.

“ Isabella won't have it easy on her “his face twitched into irritation as he hurried out of the room.

“ If I can't have Benny then you can't “ Eliana lips curved into a malicious smirk swirling with obsession over the wolf king.

Isabella sat on her bed arranging the clothes with smiles plastering all over her face .

“ How dare you? “ Alpha Cassian voice vibrated through the walls as he stormed in his eyes darted to Isabella who she gasped in shock.

“ What do you mean I don't understand what you are saying “ she questioned with a slight frown spreading across her face.

“You tried to seduce the wolf king isn't your alpha enough !” Cassian snapped glaring at her slicing through her.

Her heart raced.

“I didn't” I whispered, trying to explain to him.

His hand was wrapped around her neck tightly pressing her hard and tears streamed down her face .

“Let me go” her voice cracked as his grip became more tighter as she choked on air in her lungs.

“ What were you doing with him and haven't I warned you enough “ his face twisted into irritation with his obsidian eyes hovering over her.

“I just brought him a cake, I was just thanking him that's all ”She replied her voice hoarse but he didn't loosen his grip.

“Thank him! You are a Liar” he gazed at her, his eyes darkening as rage floods his belly.

“ How could the wolf king accept something from you?” His voice was filled with disdain as her legs became weak, squeezing her neck.

“ Please let me go “ a whimper escaped from her lips as he strangled her, her vision blurring.

“I will show you a real alpha and give you what you need you ungrateful b***h “ he said, loosening the belt which hung on the edges of his pants, his eyes lighting in evil pleasure.

Isabella's eyes darkened as Cassian cupped her chin, his hand brushing against her skin .

Before he could finish undoing the belt,Heavy footsteps emerged and Alpha Benny strode in,his eyes darkening.

“Let her go now “ he commanded his voice burning as he gazed at Alpha Cassian his voice vibrating in the room

“ But I'm dealing with an offender she tried to seduce you and we can't let this slide” Cassian explained locking his hand

“ Is that so?”Benny chuckled darkly folding his arms

“ Put her down or you shall regret it “ he groaned with a devilish grin on his face.

“ Why should I? These are my pack matters so with all due respect stay back Alpha Benny “ Cassian said rolling his eyes at the wolf king.

“ I am the wolf king and you shall not hurt any member of this tribe or you shall face my wrath” Benny said with brutality lurking in his eyes.

Benny stepped forward letting his dangerous aura engulf him before peering into Cassian's eyes.

His aura was suffocating and deadly which made Cassian flinch.

Cassian slowly loosened his hold slamming Isabella against the wall.

“ Are you okay? “ Alpha Benny eyes laced with concern rushing to her side scanning her neck crouching to her level .

“Isabella works for me now, If she needs correcting I will handle it” Alpha Benny yells at him .

Cassian arms trembled stiffening in position with his head hung low averting his gaze from the wolf king.

“You will not touch her again Cassian is that clear “ Alpha Benny warned in a firm voice.

“Yes my king “ Cassian answered politely, his face twitching in contempt as Alpha Benny scooped Isabella into his broad arms placing her on the cushion.

Alpha Cassian gritted his teeth , boiling with anger arching his eyebrows as he left the room.

“Accalia she ... She tried to kill the alpha “ Isabella said, her voice breaking as the words escaped from her lips.

“ If you had come any later I would have killed him and been charged for murder “ she cried her voice cracking like a whip.

“Isabella the two of us, our wolves are different from the other people's wolves “he began, taking a deep sigh.

“ They are stronger, more powerful but also harder to control, “ he said with his soft words, setting tranquility into her soul.

“ But I can't control her “ her voice faltered, staring at Alpha Benny who patted her hand.

“ Be patient, you will learn to control her I can help you and I promise I'm not gonna leave your side ever again until you are safe “ his tone was softening comforting Isabella.

“What do I even know about wolves? I'm a slave and my mate rejected me “ she said in a breathless whisper .

“Don't let your past relationships define you, your life is not over, you are so much more than that “ he assured her with warmth enveloping her body.

“And if you don't fit in here into Cassian’s tribe you have a place in mine “ he mumbled softly

“Why are you being so nice to me?” she demanded choking out .

His lips curved into a smirk .

“Well you are kind of toxic but you are also strong, smart , resilient , beautiful and kind of funny “ he answered, teasing her like a baby with his hand brushing against her skin wiping away her tears.
