Chapter Seven: The Alpha Who Chose Me

Isabella's POV

My body ran cold as I locked gazes with him.

“If you didn't who then who did it “ he snarled, his voice filled with hatred for me.

“ What are you pretending for?” he asked, rolling his eyes at me.

The familiar feeling of fear took over me as his voice rang in the room.

“ What the f**k are you saying?” I breathed heavily as my wolf whimpered in fear inside my head with ache running through my chest.

Cassian was never going to believe me, not when Eliana, who was going to be his Luna, was making up sober stories to act pitiful in front of him.

“ I didn't do this” I cried out but Eliana was looking at me with a wicked smile on her face.

“ Are you so dumb that you can differentiate right from wrong?” A voice said and everyone tilted their heads to see who it was.

The wolf king emerged from the shadows, his gaze fixated on me like a predator,his expression darkening with his powerful scent filling the room as he marched towards Cassian.

Cassian had a crazy look in his eyes looking confused.

“ Alpha Benny Isabella tried to….” Cassian started only to be interrupted by his angry voice.

“How dare you and you call yourself a leader Eliana is clearly manipulating you she set this whole thing up for you “ Alpha Benny snapped stepped in curling his fists his voice filled with disgust looking at the duo.

“ She can't do such a thing I believe Eliana”he pulled her up into his arms his voice holding so much anger at me.

“ What a perfect couple, a scumbag and a liar “ I murmured in my mind, my eyes filled with irritation glaring at them .

“ I thought you were way better than the old fart but turns out you are just like him” Alpha Benny growled and he flinched at the tone of his voice.

Cassian tilted his head slightly in confusion with a skeptical brow, his eyes scanning her knees which left no scratches.

His eyes widened in shock sensing he had wronged me.

“ So you lied to me” his eyes hardened as he glanced at her , pushing her away from him.

“But she was bragging to me about her being the adopted daughter of the pack to me” she muttered but Cassian cut her off.

“ Get away from me” he stood on his feet storming out angrily.

“Wait please let me explain “ she cried out sprinting after him .

I settled down on the chair as my heart immediately warms up with my anger vanishing .

“Thank you you saved me again “ I said quietly, his eyes fixed on me with his scent filling my nostrils as my downcast expression brightened a bit.

“It sort of feels like it's the only way we get to hang out. I guess we are in a kind of toxic relationship huh”he shrugged with a grin across his face.

“Yeah you are toxic, how else do you think

I became king of the wolves “ he forced a smile at me as those words escaped his lips.

My chest pounded

“I wish I could have a mate like him, not in a million years Isabella stop daydreaming” My heart fluttered, drawn to the man before me.

“This is so weird. What's happening to me ?” I asked myself sinking into the chair as Alpha Benny left for his meeting.

Many questions pondered in my mind and I was engrossed in thoughts not noticing when he came to pick something he forgot.

“Forgot my watch “ he whispered but my thoughts drifted somewhere else .

“Huh your watch “ I snapped out of my thoughts, picking it up and handing it over to him.

“You are a little distracted today my fearless friend “ he whispered, my face pale as he left the room while I stood up to attend to my other duties.

I was cleaning the living room since I was reduced to a servant in the pack because of Casper's death.

Suddenly, Eliana stepped forward holding a glass of wine with a wild grin across her face.

“ What are you trying to do? “ I asked, my eyebrows furrowed with heat radiating from me.

She had a smug look on her face as she rolled her eyes at me, my heart racing.

She splashed the drink on my dress drenching me like a wet puppy in the rain.

“ What did you do?” I cried out trying to wipe the dirt off my clothes.

I raised my hand to hit her but she had a smug look stretched on her face.

“Who do you think you are,go on little b***h hit me you won't live to see another day” she whispered with a grin on her face.

I pulled my hand back considering that the wolf king was around and her status.

“Be careful Eliana I'm still a member of this pack”I retorted back .

“That's a joke you are a servant, a murderer no one will ever want and the thing is you can't touch me but I can touch you “ she leaned forward with a smirk playing on her lips as her hand connected to my cheeks.

I clenched my heart as her words struck harder than a whip.

Her knees buckled as she crumbled to the floor staging a fall like I had pushed her to the ground.

“Eliana, are you okay? “ Cassian rushed to her side with concern in his eyes.

“I'm fine “ she whispered and Cassian's eyes widened,his gaze landed on me standing by the window.

“ Why did you do this to her ?” he growled his words piercing my soul like daggers.

“ I didn't do this, she fell by herself “ I said my tone breaking but he looked at me with a murderous glare in his eyes.
