Chapter Five: Chains Of reception

Unknown POV

Isabella was thrown into the dungeon,a prison cell,made with metal bars meant for hardened criminals. The floor was cold and the air was heavy with dust which reeked of dirt with sunlight streaming through the broken ceilings.

“ Let me out “ she barked, her voice echoing in the hallway slicing through the silence.

Just then,heavy footsteps echoed, the heels clicking sharply against the ground as she approached the cell.

Amelia who was Cassian's mother, stepped closer towards Isabella,her expression serious glaring at Isabella.

“ You are nothing more than a treacherous criminal and you shall pay for your crimes in blood “ Amelia snarled as she stood, her arms crossed over her chest, a wild grin stretched across her face, her voice filled with hatred staring at Isabella.

Her glare was wicked ,If her deadly glare could kill, Isabella would have been six feet under the ground.

“ You know that I really didn't do this but your son attacked me first so I had no choice but to save myself “ she retorted back clenching her jaw,her hands pushing hard on the iron doors with metal chains binding her wrists, their bite cruel against her skin.

“ No one would believe you, you are just a pathetic loser climbing your way to power” she exploded but Isabella fought the urge to roll her eyes.

“ Climb my way to power, did I ever seduce your sons ?” Isabella cried out her head throbbing in disbelief, rattling on the iron bars in the dungeon.

“ You are just a shameless w***e if you were not flirting with my son then why was he in your room” her voice was sharp filled with hatred glancing at Isabella .

“ I was just trying to defend myself he wanted to r**e me “ Isabella spat out her voice filled with desperation.

None of this made sense.

“ My son will never do that stop lying you traitor” she whispered her voice breaking.

“ You will spend the remaining days of your wretched life atoning for your sins against my deceased son “she snapped clenching her fists flipping her hair over her shoulders.

Her words made Isabella's eyes water, her eyes widened in horror almost popping out of its socket.

“ You can't do this to me !” she gasped, her throat burning with rage, the chains cutting into her skin but Amelia just scoffed.

“ You can enjoy your pretty life here baby” Amelia sneers with a thin smirk pulling over the edge of her lips turning away from Isabella.

“ Come back here “ Isabella yelled , balling her hands into fists,her roar vibrating but Amelia just turned away with her heels clicking sharply against the floor as she disappeared into the corridor.

“ No this can't be happening to me” she roared struggling against the chains but they were too strong.

Isabella wrapped her arms around her legs,her body trembling as she curled in a dark corner.

Before she could say anything else, the door creaked open ,heavy footsteps approaching and Eliana strode carefully, her gaze flickering on Isabella.

“Well that's an unexpected surprise “Eliana smiled faintly forcing Isabella to shoot her head up.

“I didn't think you would kill him” Eliana smirked and Isabella heart skipped a beat looking genuinely confused with heat rising from her stomach.

“I didn't mean to do that he tried to …. “ Isabella stammered, her voice breaking with fat tears rolling down her cheeks.

“No I know sweetie he did it for me I wanted him to attack you but I didn't think you'd kill him I mean you are even worse than I ever thought “ Eliana said with a wide grin across her face her words biting hard into her flesh.

Isabella's eyes widened ,her face turned pale draining of color as Eliana spoke her words cutting sharp into her tendons.

“What ?Why I don't even know you “ Isabella shouted, her brows furrowed, her voice rising above normal.

“You can't even be his mate, you don't get Cassian, he deserves a real Luna, he is mine “ she snapped angrily with brutality lurking in her eyes,her voice cold like ice which cuts her heart.

Isabella stared with confusion swirling in her gaze.

Isabella swallowed hard,her jaw tightening and her mouth hung open at Eliana's words.

“You knew I was his mate before everyone did

How ?” Isabella threw the question at her, her eyes blinked ,her tone flat constricted by anger in her voice .

No one knew Alpha Cassian's bride because all his matters had always been observed in secrecy.

“We were having s*x suddenly he knew you were his mate .He shouted your name,he screamed,he even cried .Do you even know how humiliating that was ?” Isabella froze, Eliana 's voice barely audible with irritation flashing in her eyes.

“ No you are lying I have known Cassian for years he had never cried “ Isabella muttered with disbelief clouding her face, doubting Eliana words with frustration loosening in her mind.

Suspicion churns in Isabella belly, her head spinning as Eliana flicks her eyes to hers..

“What you decided to have me r***d and make a murderer of me because your stupid lover cried over me and now he hates me to the core “Isabella’s voice quivers with burning hurt constricting her throat .

Eliana and Alpha Zachary's son Cassian were giggling, their faces beaming with smiles as she sat next to him lifting a champagne bottle pouring the wine into his glass.

“ It's a pity he died at the hands of the worthless trash but I will make her suffer a hundred times worse than death that she will be pleading for her death “ he crosses his arms over his chest, sipping the champagne with sadness laced in his eyes.

“ That's in the past cheer up baby don't overthink it “ she takes his face into her hands searching his eyes before placing her hand on his shoulder straddling his lap.

“I don't care about what people say but you do have a sense of humour “ she leaned closer with a seductive smile curled on her lips giving him a heavy hug followed by a deep kiss .

“Who says that ?” Cassian caressed her cheeks before he wrapped her in his muscular arms and ran his fingers through her hair.

He pulls her closer burying his face into Eliana' neck, kissing her neck, nipping hard with his teeth while he squeezes her waist tightly before his tongue forces its way into her mouth with warmth enveloping her .

Before Eliana could say anything else,The mighty Alpha King, Alpha Benny walked in,he had a magnificent aura with commanding presence,his expression unreadable facing them.

They sprang up to their feet, lowering their gaze with his pair of golden eyes that made them weak in fear.

Alpha Benny was the legendary late bloomer wolf ,respected and feared by all.

“ You are highly welcome My king we are so lucky to have you “ they bowed their heads respectfully towards Alpha Benny.

“ You may raise your head now “ he commanded before settling down on the plush cushion .

“You must be thirsty, “ Eliana muttered, lifting a champagne bottle and pouring it into the Alpha king cup.

“Welcome to our humble home my king we are very excited that we will be able to sign the new protection treaty for our pack and continue to be protected by the blood moon tribe” Cassian lips twitch into a smile raising his glass.

“ Sure “ Alpha Benny replied,his gaze flickering on Cassian and Eliana.

“If you don't mind I just had a long trip and I would like to freshen up” he said walking away.

“ Now where is the bathroom?” he was searching frantically for the bathroom .

Alpha Benny strode into the passage before he could take another step,he heard the sound of a whip slashed against someone's back and a strangled cry erupting from one of the rooms shattering the deadly silence in the corridor.

He clenched his fists,his jaw tightened as he followed the sound,his steps heavy .

“What ?What is the meaning of this ?“ He snapped, pushing the door opposite him open and saw two heavily armed guards slamming whips into Isabella's back,the whips drenched in blood.

“Stop “ Benny growled, his expression blank.

“ Take your filthy hands off her “ he shouted, his voice thundering in the passage.

Everywhere went still.

“ Who are you?” they demanded , bursting into laughter, glaring at him.

“ If you don't you won't live to see the sunrise”he warned, adjusting his sleeves .

“ Are you kidding us ?” they snapped their eyes blazing.

He stepped forward clenching his fists, rolling his sleeves and slammed the guards' heavy punches on their faces who dropped to the floor with a heavy thud.

Before Isabella could drop to the ground,his strong arms caught her stroking her gently.

“Hey girl hey I got you here “ he murmured, scooping her into his broad arms .

“Get me a doctor now “ he barked at the nearby guard.

The air stiffened.

He looked at Isabella who was unconscious,his eyes full of concern as he placed his hand on her forehead.

Then,Cassian appeared with Eliana, their eyes flashing with irritation, immediately their gaze landed on Isabella who was in Benny arms.

“What are you doing my king? Cassian asked,his expression straight .

Benny's eyes narrowed.

Silence washed in the room .

“She is nothing worthless but a slave that slaughtered a man” Eliana muttered her gaze lingering on Isabella who was unconscious in the Alpha king's arms.

“ But that doesn't justify torture” he snapped at them and the room fell silent.

“ Nothing you say is this how you treat members of your pack “ he snapped gritting his teeth, his eyes blazing.

“ No Alpha I will take extra attention and clean up this huge mess “ he murmured .

Benny clenched his fists , his eyes burning as he looked at them dead in the eyes.

“ I will specially take care of Isabella no need for you to bother” Benny said ,his expression blank and Cassian's eyes opened in horror.

They let out a gasp as their eyes widened.

Benny had never cared for anyone and he doing that meant one thing.

“ Alpha king please we can attend to her just relax “ Cassian leaned forward expressing displeasure at Benny's request.

Benny stomped his foot on the ground which vibrated through the air and they trembled under his gaze.

“I want her as your king and as your guest let her serve me while I'm here for my own amusement “ Benny chuckled, flashing Cassian a nervous smile.

“My king you don't want her she is hideous she's dangerous you can't trust her” Cassian sneered his eyebrows cease in frustration at the unexpected request.

“Are you questioning my command?” Benny questioned Cassian and the temperature in the room dropped.

Cassian lowered his head in shame and Benny's lips curved into a faint smile.

“I think I can manage a little girl while she makes my bed, don't you think my alpha dog?” A smug grin tugged on Benny's lips looking wicked.

Cassian's eyes dilated,his jaw tightening as he looked at Alpha Benny nodding his head reluctantly.

“ Your wishes are our command, my king, “ Cassian said in a soft voice, heaving a long sigh.

“She will be at your service but just remember she cannot be trusted” Cassian said coldly his words ringing a bell in Benny's ears.

“ She is a b***h “ Eliana blurted out,her face twitching in irritation,her voice echoing in the room but Benny paid her no heed as he left to attend to the unconscious Isabella.
