The Alpha king

[Elena Sinclair] There was howling in the woods, and then five menacing wolves surrounding a white color one, snarling to attack and came another, twice bigger than the rogues one, amber piercing eyes and there was pain and blood splatter….and I awoke trembling. The sunlight streaming through the window felt like knives piercing through my skull. I groaned, rolling over and burying my face in the pillow, but it did nothing to dull the throbbing headache that pounded in sync with my heartbeat. The events of the previous night were a blur, a jumbled mess of emotions, alcohol, and... Him. My eyes snapped open, panic surging through me as I sat up too quickly. The room spun for a moment, my stomach lurching in protest. I was in a strange bed, in a strange room—definitely not my own. I looked around frantically, but the stranger from last night was gone, leaving no trace behind except the faint smell of cologne lingering in the air. “What the hell happened?” I muttered to myself, trying to piece together the fragments of my memory. I remembered the club, the heartbreaking betrayal scene with Sebastain and Natasha, the drinks, and then... him, the man with the piercing eyes. A low growl rumbled in my chest, snapping me out of my thoughts. It was my wolf, Sienna. “Great night, was it?” she teased. “f**k you,” I cursed. “When I needed you yesterday, did you come to my distress?” “Napping, darling, warned you about him; did you listen? I had to sit and watch the drama; I must admit your no joy; couldn’t even render a slap to that b***h. In the next universe, I will pray to the moon goddess to be paired with a badass.” I eye rolled at her vaguely remark, ‘At least I compensated it with a wild night.” “I couldn’t agree less; for that, you are forgiven; it was so hot; too bad only one of us had the fun.” “And why is that so?” I questioned. “For a strange reason, I couldn’t connect to his wolf; he is a werewolf, a powerful one too, yet his wolf was MIA, completely shut off during the intimacy. Why?” I pondered on that too, having no answer and my head throbbing. I groan, reaching out for my phone that was buzzing nonstop. “Holly, Molly,” that’s a lot of missed calls, scanning the IDs, five from my mum and a message, followed by ten calls, eighteen messages from Ruby, I shoot her a quick reply, and then the cheater ex-boyfriend, three missed calls and a message, reading *Babe, where are you? I brought us the drink; we couldn’t find you. * *Babe, are you okay? Did I do something? * Swiping and blocking him, I tossed the phone away, not wanting to see anything from him. “Fucker, got the nerve to cheat and act all innocent!” I cursed. “Your late for school, and Mr. Frank is on duty,” Sienna informed, earning a swearing from me. “s**t!” I cursed, scrambling out of bed, the headache momentarily forgotten. “Why didn’t you tell me sooner?” I cried, grabbing my clothes from the floor and dressing as quickly as I could. “And missed having you punished, “she retorted, “no way.” “I hate you,” I cried. “Feeling is mutual.” There was no time to dwell on the fact that I’d slept with a stranger or the weird vision; I wonder what it meant to reveal—no time to think about anything except getting out of here and making it to school before I barged myself into a detention or, at worst, an F. I managed to pull myself together, though the ache in my head and the dulling pain between my legs were a constant reminder of my foolishness the night before. I glanced in the mirror, wincing at the sight of my disheveled hair and the dark circles under my eyes. There was no time to fix it. I grabbed my bag and rushed out of the door, trying to shake off the lingering sense of unease. The drive to school was a blur as I speed drove on the asphalt, the scenery flashing by without me really noticing. My thoughts remained scattered. By the time I pulled into the school parking lot, my headache had dulled to a manageable throb, but the anxiety gnawing at my gut only grew stronger. I arrived strangely, and thankfully, there was no sign of Mr. Frank. I sigh in relief, thanking my star for the Scott free ticket. Hastily, I venture in the hallway, making my way to my class, hoping to avoid any confrontation. But, of course, fate had other plans. “Look who finally decided to show up,” a voice drawled, dripping with malice. I didn’t need to turn around to know who it was. Natasha’s voice was unmistakable, her tone sharp and cruel as always. I stopped in my tracks, my fists clenching at my sides as I slowly turned to face her. She was standing there with her usual entourage, her minions flanking her like loyal lapdogs. Natasha’s perfectly manicured nails tapped against her crossed arms, a smug smile playing on her lips. “What do you want, Natasha?” I asked, trying to keep my voice steady, though I could feel the anger simmering just below the surface. “Oh, nothing much; a little rub wouldn’t hurt,” she said, her smile widening. “Just wondering how it feels to be a complete failure. Couldn’t even keep your boyfriend from straying, huh?” Laughter erupted from her group, the sound grating on my already frayed nerves. My wolf growled in response, the sound echoing in my mind, urging me to do something, anything, to wipe that smirk off Natasha’s face. “Not that it’s surprising,” one of her minions piped up. “I mean, who would want to stay with someone as pathetic as you, weak Omega?” “Rogue w***e daughter too,” another taunt “I mean, she should stick to her books; they are the only ones not capable of infidelity,” the other added, and they crackled manically. My vision blurred with red, my wolf snarling louder, pushing me closer to the edge. I took a step forward, my hands trembling with barely restrained rage. “You don’t know anything,” I spat, my voice shaking with fury. “Oh, but I do,” Natasha sneered, stepping closer, her eyes glittering with malice. “Sebastian told me everything.” How you were too clingy, too desperate. How he just couldn’t stand you anymore. You’re an eyewitness yourself.” “f**k you,” I cursed, teeth clanking because of burning rage to wipe her off the face of the galaxy, my wolf Sienna growling at me, so weak, sleep with your boyfriend and mock you over it, while you stand still raging like a buffalo. Grow some balls, girl, she jests me. Natasha smirk “What was it? He said again, oh yeah, that’s you are too plain and bor….” That was it. The last straw. Before I even realized what I was doing, my hand lashed out, the sharp crack of the slap echoing through the hallway. The sound was loud enough to silence the laughter, shock rippling through the crowd that had gathered to watch. Finally, what I will do to see the look on this b***h's face over and over, Sienna rejoices, while I ignore her. For a split second, Natasha just stared at me, her cheek red from the impact, her expression one of stunned disbelief. Then her eyes darkened with fury, and she lunged at me, her nails digging into my skin as she shoved me back. “You b***h!” she screamed, and before I could react, her minions were on me, grabbing at my arms and my hair, pulling me down. I fought back, my wolf howling in rage, but there were too many of them. They clawed at me, kicking and scratching, their insults a cruel chorus in my ears. Pain flared in my side as someone landed a particularly hard kick, and I cried out, struggling to break free. Just when I thought I couldn’t take any more, a strong hand grabbed my arm, yanking me out of their grip with surprising strength. I stumbled but managed to stay on my feet, my vision still blurry with pain and anger. “What’s going on here?” a deep, authoritative voice demanded. The tone sent a shiver down my spine. That familiar, intoxicating scent hit me, reminding me of yesterday’s mysterious man, and I looked up, blinking through the haze. The girls who had been attacking me froze, their eyes wide with shock and fear as they slowly backed away. Natasha’s smug expression had vanished, replaced with a look of pure terror. “Alpha king,” they croaked, bowing their heads in unison submission. Alpha king? I blink rapidly. Who is the alpha? What was he doing here? Was I in the arms of the alpha? I step on his toe as he frees me, twisting to see the alpha king. My breath caught in my throat as I finally focused on the man standing in front of me. He was tall and imposing, with a presence that commanded attention. His eyes were dark, intense, and, oh, so familiar. My eyes grew enormous as saucers while he remained devoid of emotion. Fucking unbelievable. It was him. The man from the club. The stranger I had drunkenly propositioned. He was the alpha; how is that even possible? Is the universe playing games with me, or did I just sleep with the most powerful man in the country? The Alpha King. The most powerful Alpha in the region, the one who ruled over not just our pack but several others. He was feared and respected by everyone. And I had slept with him.
