In for it

{Elena Sinclair} The room was thick with tension, the kind that made the air feel heavy and suffocating. My pulse raced as the principal left, leaving us alone with Alpha Dimitri—now my professor. I still couldn’t believe it. How was it possible that the man I’d spent the night with, the man whose touch I could still feel lingering across my skin, was now standing at the front of my class? He cleared his throat, and the murmurs that had begun to spread like wildfire through the classroom instantly died down. “Good morning, everyone,” Alpha Dimitri began, his deep voice commanding the attention of every student in the room. “As your principal mentioned, I will be your new professor. And I’ll be taking over this course for the remainder of the semester.” He paused, letting his words sink in as his gaze swept over the class, and I felt a chill run down my spine when his eyes momentarily locked with mine. It was brief, but enough to send my heart racing. I sat there, frozen, my mind racing as I tried to process the fact that the man I had spent the night with—the man whose name I didn’t even know until this very moment—was the Alpha King. My heart pounded in my chest, and my breath caught in my throat. Everything about him screamed power and authority, and yet, just last night, he had been nothing more than a mysterious stranger in a club sent to my humble heed. I should have known; was that why I couldn’t resist him yesterday but succumb to the temptation of the haze and flesh? But now he was something entirely different, unlike the man who had pleasured me to climax. His presence was overwhelming, exuding an authority that made it impossible not to focus on him. My mind buzzed with questions, fear, and disbelief. How could I have been so reckless? How could I not have known who he was? “Since I’ll be with you for the next few months, let’s start by getting a few things straight,” he continued. “I expect discipline, respect, and effort in this class. We will cover a lot of material, and I expect each of you to keep up. If you fall behind, it’s on you to catch up.” He turned to the board and began writing, his movements precise and efficient. As he spoke, outlining the topics we would cover, My phone pinged as I checked; it was a message from Ruby. *Is it me or did the alpha just check you out* she texted. Fucking b***h, this girl has an eye of a hawk. *Probably your eyes playing games* I reply back. *Isn’t he an eye candy? I mean look at that bubble ass, I can vouch with everything that his heavily pack under there; wonder how he tastes like? * I shake my head to dismiss the thought, but it was too strong willed to let go. If only she knows, I had a taste of that huge meat stick, and it was too addicting. Every lady fantasy; yesterday was an ablaze night of haze and passion. How he had made me feel safe without any worry in the world as I succumbed to his arms finding unfathomable solace, the stars he had made me see, the way he had worked his hand and heavenly tongue, driving me nuts to the point I nearly lost my sanity, Goddess, the special treatment he had given, fondling with my boobs, working my whole body—it was wild and rough, a lustful night of ecstasy. I tried to focus, but my mind kept wandering back to the events of the previous night—the way his hands had felt on my skin, the way his voice had whispered dirty words at me. My thoughts swirled, growing more chaotic with each passing minute until I was completely lost in my own head. I found myself growing hot with each passing second as I indulged in this weird s*x daydream. I screamed at myself to stop, but f**k I couldn’t when the object of lustful complication was right before me, hot as hell, his perfect face, chiseled jaw sharp enough to cut anything to two, his rigid, strong arms, those hands that manhandled me yesterday, how he had roughly pushed me against the bed to muffle my moans, pounding me to an oblivious state of no control. It was so... “Redburn hair, miss.” A deep voice snapped me out of my lewd dreams as I blinked rapidly, wondering why I’m being called since I was the only one with the said hair color, coming in contact with piercing amber eyes that stand out among other pairs. Was it just me or was there lust in them before it returned to normal, like he was trying to fight something he had no control over? I dismissed the thought, zoning back to reality, trying to process what had happened to be called. Realizing that the entire class was staring at me and with Alpha Dimitri’s gaze fixed on me with an unreadable expression makes me nervous as my anxiety shoots up. “Yes?” I stammered, trying to ignore the heat creeping up my neck. “I asked you a question,” he said, his tone flat, though I could sense the underlying irritation. Panic surged through me. I hadn’t heard a word of what he had been saying; f**k, I didn’t even get the question. My mind raced, trying to come up with something, but all I could manage was a feeble, “I’m sorry, I wasn’t... I didn’t catch the question, and it’s Elena, the name.” The tension in the room spiked, and a few students snickered under their breath. From an eye corner, I saw Natasha smirking wickedly at me while Alpha Dimitri’s gaze didn’t waver. If anything, it grew sharper, his displeasure evident, then a flicker of something—amusement? Annoyance? —passed through his eyes, but it was gone as quickly as it came. He repeated the question. “I just explained about pack hierarchy and its impact on inter-pack relations; care to elaborate?” His tone was patient but firm, and I did my best to piece together a coherent response. It wasn’t my finest moment, but I managed to stumble through it. Being a nerd comes with its own perks. He nodded. “Next time, pay attention in my class, Elena,” he said, his voice low but with a definite edge. “You’re here to learn, not daydream.” I nodded quickly, feeling the weight of his words settle heavily on my shoulders. “Yes, Professor,” I muttered, mortified. He gave me a final, lingering look before turning back to the board, continuing the lecture as if nothing had happened. I forced myself to focus, my heart still pounding. “Girl, that was cool, but what the f**k?” Ruby whispers behind me. “No idea, but he is clearly up to destroying my day.” I retore “Told you he is into you,” she teased. “You’re crazy; you know that right.” “So said by my exes, and you just got yourself an alpha king’s attention.” Speak about the devil; his gaze turned to us as we muted, and I quickly avoided his gaze by looking away in order to avoid barging another unwanted question or detention, worst. My gaze swept across the class, and I noticed that the cheating ex-boyfriend was absent all through. It occurred to me; no wonder he didn’t prey on me with makeup lies or confrontations. I sighed. Eyerolling at the female she wolves swooning over the alpha king. Just great, bunch of perverted teenagers shipping and wet dreaming alpha hole f*****g their brains out and filling up their holes—certainly not an image I want to imagine. “Excluding yourself out, like you weren’t doing that, just a while ago, that he had to stop you with a question because it was affecting him.” Sienna, my wolf mused. I blinked; wait, he can hear my thoughts? *Yes, b***h, quite a noble thought you were having about him; did you forget his the alpha king? Preying your thought is an easy feat, especially since you haven’t learned to block access. * Oh god, my eyes grew big as saucers, realization taking me of the whole situation. You are here to learn, not daydream. His words rang in my head. Mortification filled me as I delved more, praying forth the ground opened up and swallow me till all this was finally over. He knows, and it was affecting him that why he stopped me before it escalated to him growing a bulge that wouldn’t have ended well. I wonder what he thinks of me now, probably like the horny teens I was judging a while ago. Wait, why didn’t he mind link to stop me? His the alpha, had to embarrass me publicly. *f**k him. * *Bet you want too, * Sienna taunt. *Yes, I want to, but not now that I know his the alpha king and my professor. * *That makes it thrilling* *I’m not a w***e* Having no strength for argument with her or her not helping replies, I shut her off temporarily. And focus on the lectures even though my mind is barely paying any attention but rather lost in my chain of thoughts. Finally, the bell rang, signaling the end of the period, and I thanked the goddess for coming to my rescue. “You are all dismissed.” Everyone began gathering their things; I did likewise, eager to escape the oppressive atmosphere that had settled over the room. dragging Amelia along with me, and just as we were about to slip out the door, I heard his voice again, making me halt in tracks. “Except for Miss Elena.”
