The human mages collapsed across the battlefield as the last of the goblins vanished into the space eye portal, the Blood Moon faded, marking a hard-fought victory for the humans, the first in a very long time that felt so decisive.
What shocked them most was how it had been achieved, a group of Tier 1 mages and a squad of golems had tipped the scales into their favour, altering the flow of an entire Blood Moon wave.
Never before had Tier 1 mages had that much of an impact.
Perhaps such a feat was only possible because this had been a Low-Tier Blood Moon wave, and the energy in its space eye portal hadn’t been enough to summon overwhelming numbers of Tier 1 goblins, nor too many higher-ranked Goblins.
In such conditions, it really gave the Tier 1 human mages the chance to truly shine.
