hard month continued

     I sent the text to Jared letting him know she was home as i went out to see what he was talking about. Maddie was sitting there in the car crying, I knew she was having a hard week she had gotten phone calls from someone of her past. I knew she wasn't coping as well as she wanted me to believe. Opening the door I held out my hand, she took it, though I could see she was trying to fake a smile. The moment she stepped out I pulled her close. I felt her body shudder as she sobbed. Though I knew this needed to be out of her system, I hated that after all this time his memory still had an affect of her. I picked her up and carried her inside. I took her to the bathroom where I had a bubble bath ready. Gently helping her out of her clothes and shoes I watched sink down into the tub. Kissing her forehead I stepped out to get her a t shirt. As I came back in to check on her I found her asleep. Sighing; I woke her long enough to get her out and into the shirt before she softly followed me to the bedroom. I tucked her in wondering if she had even ate today... Looking down I noticed she was sleeping again. She would eat tomorrow I told myself, I messaged Bosa if she don't need to be in I was keeping her home. He sent back that she needed it. Silently, I slipped in beside her, felt her cuddle closer as I held her, I fell asleep content she had come home instead of staying at the office. Like she had been doing the last few nights...
