AKU'S POV The sudden stop of the van woke me and I gasped for air. To my surprise, the air didn't come to me freely and there I realized my mouth was covered in tape. When I opened my eyes, the same darkness filled my sight. I searched for a source of light but I couldn't move. My hands were restrained from the back along as my ankles were. Both were tightly tied in rope that the only movement I could do was crawl but my body ached from pain. How did I come to this? I froze in horror as I remembered what had happened before I lost consciousness. James… he tried to beat me to death. His blows to my stomach were excruciating and he didn't stop until I was knocked out, only to wake up bound in rope.
