Ara’s POV
“You look awful.”
“Thanks John. That’s just what I needed to hear!”
“I don’t mean like that, Ara. You know it. You look like you have the weight of the world on your shoulders.”
“Brandon found the chef’s murdered body in one of the palace fridges.” I still can’t believe someone murdered him. “I had to tell him it was a joke the chef was playing on the Kings.” I shook my head, worrying about what his small really thought. “Then when I took him to kindergarten. The teacher told me they were taking him to the hospital because of the eclipse. I know there’s nothing to worry about with the Wolf Council being here. But I can’t help feeling on edge. I work so hard to give him everything. But this morning, it feels like everything is out of control.”
