Diesel’s POV
“Millie is dead because of me, Diesel. She is dead. She used all her strength to get us here.” Nix says sadly. “I was powerless to avenge our mother’s death. We aren’t powerless anymore. We need to make sure they get revenge.”
“Agreed.” That is the only word that I think of to answer with. Millie could have defended herself if she had her power. She drained herself to help Nix get here. Now Lottie and Caren have become orphans. “Kill him,” Nix demands.
I saw the direction the coward ran in. He can’t be that far away as he was on foot. I yapped at Lottie, hoping she’d come with me, but I didn’t stop to see if she did. I rushed towards the men standing in my way. I will catch him. I will catch him, but I won’t kill him.
Begrudgingly, both me and Nix agree
