"I made you some tea," I say to Veil, who’s lying on the bed, and she sits upright and takes it. "I didn’t see anyone when I went downstairs; where’s everyone?" I ask her about the staff that I didn’t see, but her answer shocks me. She says she fired all of them. I ask her why, and she says they were working with her aunt, who’s accused of killing her parents.
When she told me, I couldn’t believe it. How sick does someone have to be to kill their own sister? Just then, the doorbell rings, and Jenna says she’s going to get it, coming out of the bathroom. Today is Friday, and Veil is supposed to get married on Tuesday, but her fiancé is missing. She’s alerted the cops, and they are doing everything they can, but there’s still no sign of him.
