I scream, Veil and I huddled together, shocked. The security guard comes running, asking if we are okay. I stutter, telling him someone snatched my purse. I start to hyperventilate, my breath coming in short gasps as panic sets in.
"My phone, my keys, my wallet," I mutter to Veil, my voice barely above a whisper, and she places a comforting hand on my back while I look around, my eyes darting back and forth, frantic as if the person is going to return. Suddenly, hospital management and staff come out of the building, responding to the commotion, and we try to explain what happened, but our words come out in a jumbled mess.
