PROMISE “Please… Take it back. I know this sounds weird, but whenever I wear it, that night I have a strange dream, more like a nightmare, about different events that, I think, have occurred in the past.” Aaron tried to explain to Jacqueline, as he handed the watch to her. She looked worried, as if almost breaking into tears. “Please don’t get upset, but it’s just that I can’t have it anymore, especially when these dreams keep coming up more often, the longer I stay here. I can’t deal with them…” He stood still, his hand stretched towards the lady, trying to give the precious watch to her. Seeing that she wouldn’t accept it, he retreated his hand, and put the watch in its container. He then laid the contai-ner on the coffee table beside him, as he rose and set foot to leave the house.
