MISINTERPRETATIONS
Aaron left the house at two o’clock, so he could sort out the masks for Amber and the guests. Amber was still in bed, and got out of there a little later. She went downstairs, where she found Jacqueline, who was holding a small present in her hands.
“Happy Birthday, dear.” Jacqueline handed Amber the present.
“Thanks, mum!” Amber took the present and opened it slowly. It was a nice pair of earrings that perfectly matched the necklace from Aaron. “They’re so beautiful!”
“I knew you would like them.”
Raven, who was at the door, coming to get Amber ready, interrupted them.
“Happy Birthday!” Raven hugged Amber after she opened the door. She handed Amber a large bag with a wrapped present in it.
