Slept with Uncle

1202 Words
The night hung heavy, the rain wanton and wild as it poured through the streets and alleys, marking the dramatic curtain-raiser of Los Angeles' nightlife. Inside the presidential suite atop the hotel, dim lighting sketched out a scene of intoxicating, seductive beauty. She drifted like duckweed in a sea of desire, tossed between waves of heat and cold, sinking and floating. It was so hot; that sliver of desire deep within her made her desperate to clutch at a lifeline, latching onto the cool object before her that could soothe the scorching heat. Until that object, too, clung tightly to her, entangling with her in a desperate, breathless tangle. A long, long time later, the wild waves of passion finally began to settle... Her delicate body, fresh from the throes of passion, glowed with a rosy, alluring sheen. Her long, feathery lashes trembled lightly as her eyes slowly fluttered open. “Mmm... it hurts!” Eleanor shifted slightly, feeling as though her entire body had been dismembered and then haphazardly reassembled. The pain was unbearable, especially the scorching, swollen throbbing from a particular part of her body, drawing a sharp hiss from her lips. “Awake? My niece-in-law?” A low, wicked voice whispered in her ear, jolting her fully awake. Those two words exploded in her mind like a bomb, leaving her dizzy and reeling. *Niece-in-law?* The words shattered in her brain like a detonation, a sudden buzzing filling her ears. She turned her head sharply to look at the stunningly handsome man beside her. She frantically pulled the quilt tight to cover her naked body, stammering,“U-Uncle? I... we... how did we end up like this?” Seeing him, she was so stunned she lost the ability to speak, completely at a loss. Henry. The head of Horizon Real Estate Group. The uncrowned king of Los Angeles. And she had somehow ended up in his bed! “You slept with me.” The words fell coolly from Henry's sexy, thin lips. He lifted a corner of the quilt, and Eleanor's eyes caught the shocking specks of bright crimson against the pristine white sheets... a sight that stung her eyes. “No, no, no! This isn't real, I'm dreaming!” Eleanor was panic-stricken. Facing this sudden crisis, her mind was a chaotic mess, unable to accept the truth. The man before her was about to become her uncle! She had actually slept with her future uncle. Tomorrow—no,*today*—she was supposed to hold her wedding with this man's nephew! How could this have happened? What was she supposed to do now? The wedding was just hours away. Henry leaned in suddenly, yanking her into his bare chest. His husky, ambiguous voice whispered against her ear,“I don't mind demonstrating last night's events for you again, in vivid detail.” Eleanor's face flushed the color of a cooked shrimp. She flailed to push him away, glaring with wide almond eyes.“You are my elder! How can you do this?” By this point, she couldn't even bring herself to call him“Uncle.” “What's done is done. There are no pills for regret in this world.” He chuckled low, his warm breath washing over her ear, his voice deep and seductive. Just as she was at a loss, a piercing ringtone sliced through the air. Henry glanced unhurriedly at the bedside table and picked up her phone. Seeing the caller ID, a smirk curled his lips. He waved the phone in front of her, letting her see the name that was etched in her heart. His smile was wicked and evil.“My nephew is calling. Are you sure you still want to go through with the wedding?” *William!* Seeing the name, Eleanor's heart trembled violently. The morning sun shone through the white sheer curtains, making her already pale, flawless face look ghostly white. William was her groom for today, and Henry's nephew. An image of a tall, cold figure flashed in her mind—a high nose bridge, rimless glasses, handsome and gentle yet carrying a trace of indifference. That was her fiancé. Her heart leaped into her throat. She lunged forward, panic-stricken.“Don't answer! Give me the phone!” “Want the phone? Fine! On one condition...” Henry smiled wickedly.“Call off the wedding.” “Impossible!” She gritted her teeth, staring at the still-ringing phone, and snapped back. “Impossible?” Henry half-reclined against the headboard, his gaze cold and indifferent, the smile in his eyes devoid of warmth.“Then, I'm afraid I'll have to let your fiancé know that you're in his uncle's bed.” His words were laced with threat, causing her to grind her teeth and curse,“Don't push me too far!” A flash of determination shone in her eyes. She suddenly pulled on her clothes and walked up to the man, fearless despite the crisis. Her trembling finger pointed at his nose.“If you don't want your family's dirty laundry aired in public, you must keep this matter buried! The Van Orden family is huge; surely you don't want the outside world to know you slept with your nephew's woman? Can the Van Orden family withstand such a scandal?” She would show him that even a rabbit will bite when cornered. Watching this woman who remained so brazen even in such a predicament, his tall, imposing figure exuded an invisible pressure.“Is that so?” The man's lips curled into a cryptic smile as he gazed deeply at her face, his eyes complex and unreadable. “Treat this as if it never happened! If you dare leak this, don't blame me for dragging up the events of the past and ruining your reputation! If we go down, we go down together—who's afraid?” She narrowed her eyes, clenching her fists. She had to marry into the Van Orden family. Even if she didn't love William, three years of meticulous planning couldn't fall apart because of this incident. Yet she had provoked this elegant, deep, and incomparably wealthy man... She suppressed the panic and fear in her heart, knowing her threat might not necessarily make him hold back, but it was the best stalling tactic she had. Besides, she had her pride. Even after such a disorienting event, she had to uphold her dignity. She finished dressing, straightened her spine, and walked to the door. Her slender fingers had just grasped the handle when Henry's low, menacing voice reached her ears.“Woman, remember! My bed isn't easy to get into. And once you're in, it's not so easy to get out.” Eleanor's response was a scoff.“Hmph. Arrogant bastard!” BAM! The door slammed shut with an ear-splitting crash. Henry stood up unhurriedly and got out of bed. A high-quality, handmade white shirt clung to his muscular skin, tracing graceful arcs in the air as he moved. He slowly picked up his phone, his fingers dancing across the screen to dial. A cold, bewitching smile curved his lips as his deep, authoritative voice rang out,“Get something done for me...”
