He advanced step by step, imposing a suffocating pressure on her that she had never felt before. It was as if he had sucked the very air from the room, leaving her gasping for breath.
“Your answer!” He narrowed his eyes, his gaze fixed on Eleanor’s face, the smile in his eyes devoid of any warmth.
She would never yield to him so easily. She reached out to press against his chest.“Impossible! I will never be with you!”
She lifted her delicate chin, staring straight into the eyes of the imposing man before her. His powerful aura and noble status were known to all, but that didn't mean she could be conquered by him.
She would absolutely never submit to such a shameless man!
“I didn't expect you to enjoy secret affairs so much...” He laughed low, his warm breath washing over her ear, his voice sexy and deep.
Eleanor was so furious she felt physical pain. She raised her hand and swung it towards his face.
But he caught her wrist in a vice-like grip!
In an instant, she felt the powerful, searing heat of his hand on her wrist.
“Let go of me!” Enraged, she struggled, trying to shake him off.
“Let go? Not in this lifetime!”
A smile lingered on his lips—slight, yet dark and profound.
Henry stared with scorching eyes at the panic and fear etched on the woman's face.
This woman fascinated him more and more. It wasn't just her unique temperament and innocent face, but the boldness she possessed that other women lacked.
Unable to suppress the surging desire within him any longer, Henry suddenly cupped the back of her head.
His cool, thin lips descended instantly—
Eleanor’s eyes widened in shock.
*No!* They couldn't do this! Not with their relationship!
Panicked and flustered, Eleanor clamped her teeth down on the man's lip, biting hard.
“Hiss!” Henry released her lips in pain, blood instantly filling his mouth.
The man's expression darkened, his voice bone-chillingly cold.“You dared to bite me?”
Eleanor used all her strength to push Henry away. Her glass-like eyes filled with panic, she turned and ran.
To stop him from chasing her, she clutched her chest, her little heart pounding violently, and screamed as she ran,“p*****t! Help! There's a p*****t!”
Henry had intended to chase after her, but that woman was as slippery as an eel and incredibly cunning.
Hearing hurried footsteps approaching, he solemnly straightened his suit and strode out with his head held high.
Sensing the commotion in the lobby, he raised an eyebrow, a sneer of disdain curling his lips. His steps were steady, walking as if he owned the place, slowly exiting with an air of supreme arrogance.
The staff rushing over saw him and immediately straightened up, bowing slightly as they respectfully greeted him,“Mr. Henry.”
The man who held the world's financial lifelines in his hands; a tycoon whose very stomp could shake Los Angeles three times over.
His every word and action captured everyone's attention. Men looked up to his achievements, and he was the dream lover of every woman in Los Angeles.
Who would dare show disrespect?
Henry didn't even spare them a glance. He walked away with unhurried grace, his extraordinary presence commanding awe and admiration.
Upon seeing him, the staff froze in their tracks, immediately and hastily clearing a path for him, a mix of fear and anticipation on their faces.
Their faces displayed pure adoration.
“So handsome!” The female staff members gazed at his retreating back with starry-eyed infatuation.
“What are you standing around for? No matter how much you swoon, Mr. Henry won't look at you. Go find that p*****t immediately!” The planning manager scolded them sternly.
One woman spoke up timidly,“But there's no one here. We only saw Mr. Henry come out.”
“What do you mean? Are you saying Mr. Henry is the p*****t?” The manager cursed.“i***t! Who is Mr. Henry? He can have any woman he wants. How could he possibly be a p*****t?”
The woman lowered her head fearfully, looking aggrieved.“I, I didn't say that. It's just... we really only saw him alone...”
“You dare slander Mr. Henry! Don't come back tomorrow! We don't need you dragging our company into disaster!” The manager shouted at the woman, fuming with rage.
It was common knowledge that Henry was never short of women. He had only to crook a finger, and countless women would happily throw themselves at him.
Yet in all these years, he had never been seen close to any woman. The outside world always rumored that he was indifferent to romance.
Calling him a p*****t? Who would believe that!
Night fell. Henry returned to his private apartment, standing tall before the floor-to-ceiling window.
His deep eagle-like eyes gleamed with cold, sharp light in his amber pupils. The scene of Eleanor rejecting him played in his mind—so decisive, without a single moment of hesitation.
“That reckless woman!” Henry muttered coldly to himself, his hands clenching until his knuckles cracked, his expression forbidding.
The next moment, Henry walked toward the large bed.
In the darkness, Henry's ink-black pupils shimmered. His thoughts drifted. For years, his mind had been filled with the schemes and deceit of the business world, but right now, Eleanor’s figure was the one floating in his mind.
Henry closed his eyes. That night, he had a dream.
That woman walked into his dream, and a pleasure he had never known engulfed him completely.
She was like seaweed, wrapping around him. Her initiative and passion forced him to call her name over and over again.
Suddenly, the man opened his eyes. He looked down, his gaze instantly darkening. The dreams of the entire night had been of nothing but that woman. It was laughable that he would have such dreams.
He closed his eyes again, wanting to savor the beautiful dream once more, but sleep would not return. He rolled over, facing the brilliant neon lights outside the window, unable to sleep any longer.
He simply threw on some clothes and got up, walking out to the balcony to light a cigarette.
Accompanied by the smoke, he slowly exhaled the heavy emotions in his heart.“Eleanor...”
Shrouded in the swirling smoke, he looked enigmatic and unfathomable.
...
Meanwhile, Eleanor, exhausted and having narrowly escaped Henry's entanglement, returned to her apartment and collapsed onto her bed in sleep.
In her dream, she dreamt of Henry, tangled with him in desperate intimacy.
“Do you like it?” She heard the man whisper in her ear, asking again and again with clarity.
“No, this is wrong...” Lost in the haze, she struggled against him.
Then she heard his voice again, coaxing and compelling her.“Say you love me, and I'll let you go!”
“I... I love you...”
The next second, a figure with a twisted, hideous face appeared before her, rushing at them with a sharp dagger.“You filthy adulterers! How could you do something so shameless and immoral! I'm going to kill you both!”
