Delphine

I had the longest shower imaginable, standing under the hot water the steam consuming the room. As I walked out of my bathroom wrapped in fluffy blue towel my hair dripping, I was startled by Charlie laying on my bed.

“Where have you been Delphine? Was your night-time run a marathon?”

“It is such a long story Charlie” I said pointing to him to turn around as I got dressed

“Well go on, we have all the time in the world” he pouted and turned his back to me as I pulled on sweats, I moved and sat next to him.

“I was running in the woods last night and there was this hooded guy with a silver dagger going after a werewolf, so I went for him and ended up getting stabbed and part of the dagger snapped off inside me so Cillian carried me back to his house and had to get the silver tip out and then I slept for like 10 hours…and we kind of hung out. I ranted all in one breath to an almost bewildered Charlie.

“Firstly, you were stabbed. Are you okay” I nodded showing him that it was practically healed?

“You went running with Cillian? That a little intimate! Thought you wolves only run with your pack or kingdom” he said raising his eyebrows, which is true. We generally only run with our pack. “I didn’t go running with him, I have seen his wolf running a few times before, but I didn’t know it was him and then I saw the hood guy going after him I jumped in, I didn’t know it was him until he shifts back to carry me” Charlie sat and thought about it

“Does the council know” he asked, I nodded

“Yes, Cillian was on his way there now”

“So now all that boring stuff is over! Tell me about him!” Charlie was grinning! I bit my bottom lip.

“It was nice, slept in his bed and that is all I am saying about it”

“Did you sleep with him?” Charlie asked “Charlie! No!” I squealed whacking him with the back of my hand playfully. My phone buzzed and I picked it up to read the message Hey, how are you feeling? I started to type, almost completely healed I said You were amazing, I am still with the council so hopefully the flesh you got Joanna can help. I’ll message you after x”

“Is that him now?” Charlie asked

“Umm yeah it is” I said

“It must have been some night look at you smiling at his messages” Charlie teased.

“Just shhhh Charlie” I laughed, shaking my head.

“Where did you end up after the party last night?” I asked him

“Oh, we ended up at a witch coven, Kayla got incredibly drunk off pixie juice. She has been in bed all day” I laughed as it was completely like Kayla to be like this.

“What about Mae? Have you seen her” I asked? Charlie shook his head.

“Not since yesterday, she told me she didn’t want a mate then had tantrum and left” Charlie said.

“It is so strange, it is like she is heart broken over a wolf that she never even had met” Charlie nodded “I told her she could not be upset as she didn’t even know him” After Charlie left, I studied for a bit until Cillian started messaging me, we spent the entire night talking.
