As a child I was told Providence City was a remarkable place, not only does it serve as a haven for the Fae, but it is also occupied by humans. This gave the city a unique character, and it held a certain amount of significance since it did not fall under the jurisdiction of any magical realm. Uriel, the archangel, has bestowed upon it his blessing of being a place where any supernatural or human being can live and learn without the pressures of restitution for being who or what they are. A fact that the council of fae uphold so precisely that to go against those laws would be to seal your own fate, yet here I am in the Uriel Forest, a sacred place for Fae I sniggered to myself as I slowly strode through plants that covered the forest ground, the sound of them crunching under my shoes not hiding my presence. The trees were rustling as though they were talking to one another, discussing among themselves knowing what I was doing here tonight. The further I entered the forest, the closer the trees were to one another, and the more the moon and the stars were hidden by the branches, nearly completely darkening the sky, but that was precisely what I wanted. I am not nervous, I am eager, musing as I continue through the forest until I reach the grey boulders near one of the waterfalls, who will it be I ponder looking to either direction of the river the choices are endless. How easy it is for me to choose who lives or who dies, and I after I take that life, I would not think about it or mourn it or even contemplate the thought of not doing it. there was a time where I pondered such choice, dreamt of doing the things that I wanted to do and always being prevent from being my true self. Upstream I thought as I followed the river over the amethyst rocks and mugwort until I could hear the sweet sound of a water nymph singing, I followed the sound quietly stepping over the shrubs avoiding touching anything that would alert to my presence and walked out from behind a flaky bark tree where she was sitting directly opposite me twining flowers into her hair.
“Oh, hello there” her melodious voice was everything I expected, her innocence was dripping from her enticing me further to my cause. I stepped closer revealing my frightening smile holding a dagger in one hand not uttering a word. The look on her face was of confusion until she realised, I was foe not friend she stood in panic and briskly ran out of the clearing, I do like it when the run I thought.
