“You need three more hearts to complete the ritual” the warlock said carrying the largest grimoire I had ever seen in both of his hands, hands that are long pale and skeletal. I nodded my head in agreement, so far all we had was a Nymph heart, a siren heart which were the two easiest to procure I thought to myself. Deciding which fae to kill was not an easy task, each fae came with their own danger and the spell would not work if all the hearts were the same.
“Once we have all five hearts how long the spell will take?” I asked as I walked around the large timber table running my fingers across the grooves of it not looking at the warlock. Warlocks were often not to be trusted I was told, they didn’t have covens like witches or packs like wolves, I imagine they didn’t like anyone other than themselves and to be paid, well at least this one seems to be like that I thought.
“It will take as long as it takes” he snarled slamming the grimoire on the table, I slowly gazed up at him, composed and not fearful.

"The magic you want is not common or simple. It takes time” he retorted; he was right warlocks that dabble in this type of magic were hard to find and without him I would have to search for another which would delay my plans further.
“I will go out tonight, the Forrest will be full of Fae given it is Halloween” I exclaimed the warlock nodding in agreement.
