I spend the rest of the day avoiding both Kayden and Ashton. I didn't want to see either of them, let alone both of them together. How am I supposed to face them when I cannot even figure out my feelings for either one.
I go out to the stables, hoping to find James. I look around quietly before going up to Ella's stall.
"Hi precious girl," I say to my horse, reaching in to pet her soft head. "I've missed you."
I look around before opening her stall and joining her. I embrace her large neck and she lowers her head onto my back. I like coming in here when I feel like I need to escape.
"What am I to do?" I say into her soft coat. "How is it possible to have such strong feelings for two different men?"
Ella snorts in response.
